This is the ideal twin stroller for families that need a stylish, double side-byside stroller. It’s a more bulkier than other Bugaboo models, but it feels sturdy and built to last. It comes with a handlebar that can be adjusted to retract and extend easily. It also has a great reach, making it easy for my husband of 6’1 to push, even when fully loaded.
Seats are spacious, and can be set up so that one child sits on top of the other or so that children face each other. The seats can recline independently of one other. The canopies cover both fabric seats, if desired. They’re not very ventilated and can be like an oven on hot days. They also don’t have a peek-a-boo window to view the children.
One of the most distinctive features of this stroller is its capacity to grow with your family from a single seat (Mono mode) to grow to a double side-by-side stroller. It is the only stroller that can be converted that can do this! It can even be used with an additional car seat or bassinet for newborns.
It is easy to navigate on smooth surfaces and handles slopes and steps well. The only issue is that it can be difficult to navigate the midst of crowded restaurants and shops. It is difficult to fold the seat back, especially if it’s connected. It’s still compact and can fit through most doors.
There is an extra storage bin that can be tucked away on the frame to the front seat in mono mode. This is great for grocery shopping and other items. The main storage basket underneath the seats is large and can accommodate up to 100 pounds, which is more than any other stroller on this list!
Uppababy Vista V2
This stroller is among the best twin strollers for newborns. It is compatible with a variety of infant car seats and bassinets (adapters are sold separately) and can be used as a double stroller straight out of the box. It can even accommodate two infant car seats or bassets at the same time when you purchase the Vista Upper and Lower adapters.
In comparison to the original Vista, The V2 has made a few changes to make it even better. The toddler seat is about an inch higher, the footrest is more space, and the canopy is equipped with a zip-out fabric extender that adds extra coverage. The harness has been updated in that it does not require re-threading. This makes it easier to adjust.
The stroller has reasonably large wheels (8” in front and 11.5 inches in the back) with a sturdy suspension, so it can easily handle all kinds of terrain. It also features an umbrella fold that folds down in a matter of seconds and can be set up for easy transport. Its aluminum frame is light along with the foam handles and straps for carrying make it one of the easiest to lift double strollers in our tests.
This tandem stroller comes with independently reclining seats for maximum comfort. Its oversized canopy extends to provide UPF 50 sun protection. It comes with a peekaboo view window for easy monitoring. We would have liked to see the canopy vented for more airflow. We were not happy that the cup holder is extremely high on the frame. You’ll need to bend down in order to reach it.
In our tipping-test it was found that the Jeep was able to tip over at a 39 degree angle, which is higher than the average for a double pram. It’s also a little heavier than our top picks but it does provide an adequate amount of storage space for the price and comes with plenty of padding in the seats and handle.
