Amazon Cancels iRobot Deals
Amazon has pulled out of its planned purchase of Roomba maker iRobot and said the deal faces “undue and unjustified regulatory hurdles.” Amazon will pay iRobot the $94 million breakup fee.
The acquisition was deemed be anti-competitive by European Commission (the EU’s executive arm, and the highest antitrust enforcement agency).
